Are you having fun this winter at the Prevea training runs? Me too. This is the best training program in the Midwest and it’s free. Since it’s free, and you get free Gatorade during the run & free coffee after the run how about dropping $5, $10 or $20 in the charity box this Saturday? You’ll feel better when you do.
Boston Simulator run this Saturday, 2/25 – 6am
Not to compete with the Prevea run, but we’ve been doing this run for a few years to get runners ready for Boston. We have hills bigger than Heartbreak here but something was missing so we created this little monster. I can’t believe that I don’t have this course mapped out, but this link will give you a pretty good idea of what you’re in for http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/51987796 . The run starts at Coaches Corner at Kolbs Corner at 6am. You run from there to Scrays hill, run down to beat your legs up, around Oak Ridge Circle to Ledgeview road. From here you turn right on Creamery, cut through Ledgeview Park to Chicago Street to Voyageur Park then head back into the hills. After the run join the group for breakfast at Greystone in De Pere on GV. This is a challenging run, if you have not already run at least two 20 milers this year, don’t do this run, I’m not kidding. Marty will be leading the run as I’ll be running with some American Cancer runners at the Prevea training runs. Speaking of the American Cancer Society……..
